VW Timing Belts and Timing Chains

The timing system in your VW has the crucial job of synching the power created in the pistons to the transmission input.

Most VW timing belts need service at around 60K miles. In our experience, timing chains last around 100K miles.

We have tooling and expertise in all VW engines, including 4, 6, and 8 cylinders. We especially enjoy working on VR6 and 5 cylinder engines!

VW Valve Decarbonization

Modern engine designs have fuel being injected directly into the combustion chamber instead of the intake port. This means the valves are exposed to dust particles that got past the  air filter, carbon, and oil vapors. These elements turn into carbon deposits, which eventually clog the flow of air going into the engine.

This results in misfires, uneven idle, and poor fuel economy.

We DON'T use walnut blasting for our carbon cleaning service, instead cleaning the valves manually with special  chemicals that do not leave any residue. This takes additional time, but warrantees a perfect cleaning process every time.

VW Water Pump Upgrade

Plastic parts have seen steadily increasing use in auto manufacturing. While they tend to perform well initially, the harsh engine environment means they won't last past the new car warranty.

A typical example is the water pump. Most VW pumps last around 60K, and then the housing cracks and leaks coolant. You know an engine running with low or no coolant spells disaster due to overheating.

We have replaced hundreds of water pumps with aluminum ones, providing you with an upgrade for less than the dealer would charge... for another plastic pump.
